Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want billing at Grain to be simple and predictable. Here's how cancellations and refunds work.

Monthly subscriptions

  • You can cancel at any time, but cancellation requires one full calendar month's notice.

  • Your subscription (and billing) continues through that notice period.

  • We don't offer refunds for any part of a month already billed.

Annual subscriptions

  • Annual plans are billed once a year and are non-refundable — a year is the minimum term.

  • You can give notice to cancel at any time, and it will take effect at the end of your current annual term. We won't refund any part of the current year's fee.

How to cancel

  • Card payments: All card payments are processed securely by Stripe — Grain never holds or stores your billing details. If you pay by card, you can manage or cancel your subscription directly through Stripe.

  • Invoiced customers: If you're billed by invoice rather than card, please contact us at support@thegrain.social to give notice in line with the terms above.

When we do offer refunds

Outside of the above, we only consider refunds where there has been a prolonged system outage or failure of the Grain platform that we haven't been able to resolve within a reasonable time. Refund requests of this kind are reviewed on a case-by-case basis — get in touch at support@thegrain.social and we'll take a look.

Account termination by Grain

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • you repeatedly or seriously breach our Terms and Conditions;

  • you don't pay your fees in line with our Terms and Conditions, and payment isn't made by the date specified;

  • we consider your account unsuitable for reasons including, but not limited to, inappropriate, threatening, or abusive behaviour, or reputational risk to Grain;

  • you endanger the health, safety, or wellbeing of Grain staff, contributors, or any other user of the platform.

  •

All termination decisions are final.
